학술문화팀에서는 지난 1년간(2022. 1. 1.~12. 31.) 책을 가장 많이 읽은 DGIST 구성원을 선정하여 '책 읽는 DGIST 100인'을 발표하였습니다. 중복 대출도서 등을 제외하고 학술 및 교양 단행본을 대출하여 읽은 독자를 대상으로 선정하였습니다. 2022년 다독자로 선정된 분들에게는 뱃지와 문화상품권을 드립니다. 다독자로 선정되지 못해 아쉽다면 오늘부터 즐독하면서 건강한 신년을 보내보는 건 어떨까요?

A Top 100 Reader in DGIST

The DGIST Library selects and awards top 100 readers every year to encourage members to read and promote reading culture. The Top 100 readers will get a badge and prize.


■ Loan records of academic books and liberal arts books during the period from January 1 to December 31, 2022. 

■ Members of DGIST as of January 1, 2023

 - Not including Family users, Donors to the DGIST Development Fund, Users guaranteed by DGIST, and One-day member

2022 Top 100 Reader in DGIST

- Top 100 readers read an average of 46 books during the year.

- Seven of the top 100 readers read more than 100 books per year.

- Top 100 Readers are composed of the order of undergraduate students > graduate students > researchers > staff > faculty.

- 1,350 people borrowed a book at least once in 2022.

(Undergraduate student > Graduate student > Staff > Researcher > Faculty)

- 17,338 loans (47 loans per day on average) during 2022.

- During 2022, on average, Undergraduates and graduate students borrowed nine books, faculties and staff borrowed 20 books, and research borrowed 23 books.

- 6 out of 10 people who borrowed books extended their loan period (59% of all borrowers)

- 768 members didn't borrow any books.

- DGIST people borrow more and more books in March and September when the semester begins, but this gradually decreases.

- The day when the most books are borrowed in the year is the beginning of the semester. (February 28 and August 29).

- The day on which no one borrowed a book in 2022 is three days.

- The day on which DGIST people borrow the most books is Monday.

DGIST Best Books in 2022

- The DGIST people's favorite book of the year is 'Vector Calculus'. People borrowed that book 44 times a year.

- DGIST Best Books Top 3 are four books, an average of 28 loans.

- The Top 10 consists of 21 books, 13 in the humanities and social collections(5F), and eight in the science and technology collections(6F).
