5월 30일(월)부터 열람석 띄어앉기, 공간 인원 제한 등 코로나 19로 인한 학술정보관 이용 제한이 해제됩니다. 학술정보관이 처음인 새내기와 잦은 운영 변경으로 혼란스러운 분들을 위해 2022년 최신판 학술정보관 이용 안내를 소개합니다! For Freshmen and those confused by frequent operational changes, we will introduce the latest version of the DGIST Library Service in 2022!

The library(E8) is located in the middle of the dormitory,  the classrooms, and the labs.

Because of this, we play a role in supporting academic information and services.

On the fifth and sixth floors of the library, there are about 90,000 humanities&social sciences books and science& technology books.

Have a meeting with your friends in the group study rooms on the first, third, and fifth floors. The group study rooms are only available after reservation on the library website.

If you have any question, You can ask anything about the library at the information desk on the first floor.

※ Library is closed on Lunar New Year and Korean Thanksgiving Day

How to borrow a book

You can search whether you can borrow the book you are looking for now and where it is on the library website. Undergraduate Students can check out up to ten books, Graduate Students can check out up to twenty books using a loan-return machine for thirty days. You can renew the books up to three times if no one has held them and hold up to three books on loan. If the book you need is not in the library, you can apply for a book purchase or borrow it from another library. All information and services about the library can be found on the library's website.

How to borrow a book

If you want to borrow a book, you can choose the book on the 5th and 6th floors and borrow it using a self-check-in machine on the 1st, 4th and 5th floors.

(대학원생) 20책 30일, 연장 3회, 예약 3권

(공통) 국내 전자책 5책 15일, DVD 3점 7일, 강의도서 1일 대출


(Undergraduate Student) Loan 10 books 30 days, extension 3 times, reservation three books

(Graduate Student) 20 books 30 days, three extended sessions, three reserved books

(Both) Korean e-books 5 books 15 days, 3 DVDs for 7 days, Course Reserve 1-day loan

1F New Arrivals

New Arrivals Books are located right side across from the elevator on the library's first floor.

1F Returned books

The books that someone recently returned are located left side across from the elevator on the library's first floor.

1F Special Collection

There are Special Collection(Recommended Book Exhibition) in the center of the library's first-floor lobby.

5F Humanities & Social Science Collections

Humanities and social science books(Class A-P, Z) such as history, philosophy, social science, art, and literature are located on the 5th floor.

- Left Side(R1): Language·Literature·Library Science Books (Call No. P, Z)

- 510호(E7 방면): 인문·사회·예술 단행본(청구기호 A-N) 소장

- 502호(R동 방면): 어학·문학·문헌정보학 분야 단행본 (청구기호 P, Z) 소장

Please put the book you've taken out for a moment on the book-box.

6F Science & Technology Collections

Science and technology books(Class Q-V) such as science, technology, medicine, and agriculture are on the sixth floor.

D-Curation

D-curation is a service provided by Library Services Team, who selects taylored information for DGIST members from the web for research, learning and liberal arts education.

Book Purchase Request Service

읽고 싶은 책이 도서관에 없을 때 희망도서 서비스를 이용하세요. 도서관 소장용으로 적합하다면, 선정일로부터 4주 이내에 받아보실 수 있습니다. ☞ 희망도서 신청하러 가기

Tips. '도서정보 자동입력' 기능을 이용하면, 제목 또는 ISBN으로 나머지 정보를 자동입력할 수 있어요!


If the book you want is not in the library, use the book purchase request service. If the book you requested is suitable as a library book, you can get it within four weeks of the librarian's selection date.

Interlibrary Loan Service

If the book you need is not in our library, you can borrow it from another library. You can borrow the book(Up to three books) for 15 days from the date of arrival of the book.

Document Delivery Service

This is a service that allows you to copy papers that are not available in our library to domestic and foreign institutions and receive them as printed copies.

Library manners

■ Food: You can eat food(not strong smell food, eg. sandwich, a lunch box..) in the lounge on the third floor.

■ Group Study Room: Before using the group study room, Please make a reservation.

■ Desk&Seats: After using the desk, organize the desk for the next user.
