2025년 신입생 여러분! 입학을 축하드립니다! 🎉 DGIST에 입학한 새내기들과 학술정보관 이용 방법이 궁금하신 분들을 위해 학술정보관 AtoZ를 준비해보았어요! DGIST Library has prepared 'Library AtoZ' for first-time users. From borrowing books to exploring different spaces and services, 'Library AtoZ' provides a comprehensive guide to everything DGIST Library has to offer.

 
The library(E8) is located in the middle of the dormitory, the classrooms, and the labs. Because of this, we play a role in supporting academic information and services.
 [Library Open Hour] (Term-time) 09:00 ~ 24:00, Everyday (Vacation) 09:00 ~ 22:00, Everyday 

 ※ Library is closed on Lunar New Year and Korean Thanksgiving Day On the fifth and sixth floors of the library, there are about 90,000 humanities&social sciences books and science& technology books.

Have a meeting with your friends in the group study rooms on the first, third, and fifth floors. 
The group study rooms are only available after reservation on the library website. 
 If you have any question, You can ask anything about the library at the information desk on the first floor. 
1st Floor Integrated Service Desk: 09:00 - 18:00 (Every day) Self-Service Loan-Return Machines on 1st, 4th, and 5th Floors: Accessible throughout library operating hours.
If you want to borrow a book, you can choose the book on the 5th and 6th floors and borrow it using a self-check-in machine on the 1st, 4th and 5th floors.
(학부생) 대출 10책 30일, 연장 3회, 예약 3권 
(대학원생) 20책 30일, 연장 3회, 예약 3권
(공통) 국내 전자책 5책 15일, DVD 3점 7일, 강의도서 1일 대출 또는 대출불가(관내 열람만 허용) 

(Undergraduate Student) Loan 10 books 30 days, extension 3 times, reservation three books 
(Graduate Student) 20 books 30 days, three extended sessions, three reserved books 
(Both) Korean e-books 5 books 15 days, 3 DVDs for 7 days, Course Reserve 1-day loan

Humanities and social science books(Class A-P, Z) such as history, philosophy, social science, art, and literature are located on the 5th floor. - Right Side(E7): Humanities·Social Science·Arts Books(Call No. A-N) - Left Side(R1): Language·Literature·Library Science Books (Call No. P, Z) 

- 510호(E7 방면): 인문·사회·예술 단행본(청구기호 A-N) 소장 
- 502호(R동 방면): 어학·문학·문헌정보학 분야 단행본 (청구기호 P, Z) 소장
6F Science & Technology Collections
- Inside Books shelves: Science·Medicine Books(Call No. Q-R) 
- Outside Books shelves: Agriculture, Technology, Military Science, Naval Science Books (Call No. S-V) 
- 복도 서가: 과학·의학 분야 단행본(청구기호 Q-R) 소장 
- E7 방향 서가: 농업, 기술, 군사학, 해양학 분야 단행본 (청구기호 S-V) 소장
The library also provides convenient facilities such as a meeting cube for video conferences, cabinets, book sterilizers (1F), vending machines for snacks (3F), smartphone chargers (4F), and more. 

Additionally, on rainy days, you can borrow umbrellas from the 1st-floor information desk!
Library manners
■ Food: You can eat food(not strong smell food, eg. sandwich, a lunch box..) in the lounge on the third floor. 
■ Group Study Room: Before using the group study room, Please make a reservation. 
■ Desk&Seats: After using the desk, organize the desk for the next user.
How to Reserve a Checked-Out Book 
 - Go to the library website > Search for materials > Click 'Reserve' on the desired book. 
 - Once the book is returned, it will be placed on the reservation shelf next to the 1st-floor information desk for 6 days. 
 - Notification of the book's arrival will be sent via email and SMS. You can pick up the book from the reservation shelf and check it out using the self-checkout machine (09:00–24:00).
If you would like to request a book that is not available in the library, please use our Book Request Service! Please refer to the notice below for more details.

This is a service that allows you to copy papers that are not available in our library to domestic and foreign institutions and receive them as printed copies.
