TOPIK, Test of Proficiency in Korean, is a written test designed to measure the ability of non-native speakers for expression and comprehension in the Korean language.


TOPIK test measures proficiency in reading, writing, and listening comprehension in the Korean language.  The test has three different levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced.  Further accuracy is expressed through six grades, two matched to each level to evaluate proficiency.


This examination aims to set a right Korean Language learning path for overseas Koreans and foreigners who do not speak Korean as their mother tongue and promote the use of Korean language. The result of evaluation can also be used for local university applications as well as employment purpose.

Eligibility criteria

Overseas Koreans and foreigners who do not speak Korean as their mother tongue

-Those learning Korean language and those with intentions to apply for local universities.

-Those with intention to join/work for domestic/overseas Korean companies and public organizations.

-Koreans who study or graduated overseas.


Validity

Valid for two(2) years after the announcement of examination results

Registrations for the next TOPIK Test (59th TOPIK) in Korea start on May 21, 2018 and will continue till May 28, 2018. 59th TOPIK Test will be held on July 15, 2018 (Sunday) in Korea.
